S is for Space!

Letter- S (star stickers). I did not prompt him to do them in a line like this; he just did it! #proudteachermoment, haha.

Number-7

Bible- Hannah Prays for a Baby-  The verse was ! Thess 5:17, & our songs were, "This Little Light of Mine" & "54321 Blastoff!"

Book- Sheep Blast Off. This book is hilarious, but I'm not sure toddlers would get the humor. We painted a textured moon. Here is the recipe for the paint. I didn't have any white flour, so I used Cream of Wheat, and it worked great; it made it really bumpy!

 Love the face. :)

We also studied outer space flashcards from the $1 aisle in Target. We bought him some glow-in-the-dark stars to put on his ceiling & strung balloons up with glowsticks inside to be the planets. He LOVED it. When I showed him his room that night, he wanted to turn out all the lights & hang out in his bed with me & talk about the stars & planets. He said "my clock can be the moon, Mom!" (We have tot clock that has a blue face @ night.) I think that I do have a picture, but it's on the IPAD, so I'll have to figure out how to get it on here! Oh, and we made a rocket too!
What a great unit! We both enjoyed it!

Fine motor- shapes tracing sheets from the curriculum.
Gross motor- hit a balloon up in the air.
I share with 1+1+1=1.

See my first post for explanations and what curriculum we are using!

Life happens:

Cousins came to visit! My SIL just had her 4th baby, so I invited the others for a visit. I will admit it was CRA-ZEE, but they all had fun. It made me appreciate how hard it must to have so many littles all the time. :)

We managed to play outside some, but it was really cold!

When things got a little crazy, I had them all sit @ the table & rotate activities every 10-15 min. It was enough time for G-man to take a nap, anyway. :)

  1. Wow! You are Super Mom!! Thank you for taking the kids in. They had a blast and have been asking to go back. Evidently, my house is not near as fun... Six years later, and I'm still trying to get the hang of it. :)
